Tulela is located in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, which is part of the Greater Kruger Park on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province.
International flight to Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo or Cape Town followed by a domestic flight to Eastgate Airport outside Hoedspruit. From here, it’s a 45-60 minute drive through the reserve until arriving at the lodge.

Yes. Tulela is designed to cater for families with children of all ages. Rooms 1 and 2 at Tulela Lodge have inter-leading bedrooms.

Tulela Safari Lodge accommodates 10 guests in five bedrooms. Guests wishing to book both Tulela Safari Lodge and Mondzo are invited to contact the Tulela team directly, as the combined capacity will depend on the number of adults and children in the group. The team will be happy to advise on the most suitable arrangements.
Mondzo’s four en-suite bedrooms have been thoughtfully configured to give families and groups plenty of flexibility. Rooms One and Two can each be arranged with a king bed or twin beds and feature a full bathroom, while Room Three offers a double bed with a full bathroom. Room Four, set slightly apart with its own separate entrance, is a versatile family-style room sleeping up to four guests. It can be configured with a double bed and double bunks, two twin beds with double bunks, or four twin beds, and has its own en-suite shower.

Yes, Tulela Safari Lodge is fenced. However, as we are located within a wildlife reserve, we ask guests to remain aware of their surroundings and move around the lodge with care at all times.
