Mondzo, a luxury villa with four beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, offers a more flexible way to experience Tulela, with generous indoor and outdoor living spaces and the choice of a serviced self-catering or fully catered stay. For groups, both lodges can be booked simultaneously.
There is no set timetable at Tulela. Because the lodge is booked exclusively, every game drive, meal and activity is planned around your group. Leave before sunrise, enjoy a long breakfast overlooking the dry river bed, spend the afternoon beside the pool or head out again as the day begins to cool. The Tulela team helps shape each day around your interests, whether you’re travelling with young children, celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying time together.
Tulela sits within one of the largest private reserves in the Greater Kruger ecosystem. With no fences separating it from the Kruger National Park, wildlife moves freely across this vast protected landscape. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino are all found here, alongside cheetah, wild dog (painted wolf), giraffe, hippo and more than 350 bird species.
Guests can choose between two lodges, each offering a distinctive safari experience. Tulela Main Lodge accommodates up to ten guests in five elegant en-suite bedrooms and includes full service throughout your stay, from private guiding and chef-prepared meals to attentive daily housekeeping.
