Nestled right on a bend in the seasonal N’tsiri River, our bedrooms gaze out at quietly passing wildlife and onto a busy waterhole beyond.

The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is a protected wilderness of 64 000 hectares and cherishes a low tourism density, offering a private and personalised wildlife experience.

Tulela translates to “a place of peace”, which perfectly encapsulates what we want to achieve in the experience we offer – a tranquil refuge in the bush that quiets the mind and invigorates the soul.

Tulela offers guests the option to choose between the exclusive-use fully catered main lodge, Tulela Safari Lodge, as well as a self-catering Lodge, Mondzo.

Our five-bedroomed main Safari lodge is designed to reflect the natural colours and textures of the surrounding bush, while offering a high level of luxury and comfort to guests. A spacious central living area welcomes festive mealtimes under the trees, fireside chatter after dark, and playful afternoons at the swimming pool, which has an uninterrupted view of the waterhole.
